Interaction with OTC has made my entire world significantly more prosperous. Even if the local branch is not particularly quick to respond, once I had another point of contact things went well.
I am rich and life is good.

The sentiment behind this thread is wonderful.
Today, I think I am most thankful that the recent demon incursion was prevented by a few brave soldiers. Loss of life was minimal, and our dimension remains protected.

I have been able to save more souls and in safer locations recently, and hope that when the OTC returns, I will be able to use some of their products to become even more effective. Some frost people agreed not to harm my trees for the next several winters.

I graduated from shipside academy! I got into Operations division. I'll have a new job and a new uniform and a new cabin with a new roommate! And my new roommate is really cute.

Congratulations! What did you focus on at the academy? What's the Operations division a division of, and what does it do, if you want to say?

The crew of the ship is split into three divisions: operations, sciences, and command. And there's cadets and the creche who aren't really crew yet.
Operations is all about the ship. That's things like engineering, maintenance, security, that kind of stuff. I'm going into maintenance.

Dear redshirtandpants,
It's wonderful to see someone so happy with their role in serving their organization. In my own empire, I always appreciate when citizens enjoy their purpose. I hope your ship recognizes your value.

Had my first day on the job yesterday! I met the symbiote I'll be working with, he seems pretty cool. I call him Dare for short. He knows even more about fixing things than I do, and he was very excited about lunch.
I'm getting along pretty well with my cute roommate. Last night, he came to my bunk (it's bigger) and snuggled with me!

Congratulations! Getting along well with roommates makes life much pleasanter. What type of symbiote do you mean? Was lunch exciting to him for any particular reason?

I found a temporary, unstable window between worlds, and some creatures entering through it. I managed to take some photograms and measurements of it before it collapsed! I believe that such windows may be how all the bizarre creatures and things in this area came to be here. With these readings, I should be able to figure out why they form here, and eventually create a stable window to permanently allow travel between worlds!

They can share our bodies for a little while. So when we go to fix things, Dare can control my hands or I can. It's really convenient.
They can't taste food on their own, so my lunches are the only times Dare gets to taste things. It's pretty ordinary food, but he points out flavor details I'd stopped noticing, so it's like getting to try it for the first time again.

That sounds exciting, Journey! Do you know where you'll be able to go?

I don't know if the creatures all come from one world or from many. I'd assumed there was only one other world, but given this forum, there may be more. I hope to eventually find all the homeworlds of the anomalous creatures here, and that perhaps one of the worlds will be the one my friend lives in, and I'll be able to see him in person. Funnily enough, even a few decades ago it would have been incredibly blasphemous to even consider that there might be more than one material world, but theology has moved on and it's now at least an acceptable hypothesis. And once I get stable windows working and understand why they naturally (or unnaturally?) occur here, it will become accepted fact!
That's fascinating! The symbiotes have physical forms, correct? How do they share control of your body? It's very nice to be able to share control of your body with someone and watch them be excited about the different senses. I'm glad you can have that experience!

Dearest redshirtandpants,
My world contains some people who could use such symbiotes. Are they willing to travel?
