That's a Technocratic symbol, which strongly implies that Argus is associated with the Technocracy; they're one of the groups of magicians in my world. Their system of magic is based on science, somehow, but I don't have specific details. There's clearly something getting garbled here, but magicians don't interface with the subworlds in the same way as the Inspired do, and the side effects of their powers tend to be a lot stranger than those produced by Inspiration.
That said, I believe that the Peerage has official contact with them, one of the ambassadorial things that the Fellowship for Manifest Direction set up. I'll send our ambassador an email, see if we can't get this straightened out.

Andrew: I am reliably informed that the Technocracy is associated with number of governments, and as such, they may in fact have taxation authority. I'm not sure how that's relevant here, though. Maybe there's some kind of weird manifestation-related issue?
Wouldn't the easiest solution be for Mother Starlight to simply remove the forum from universes that the Technocrats has any power over? I mean, Just a thought.
Please forgive any lax socializing on my part, as I am not prone to constant conversation.
I do wish to inform you that my presence here is part of my job as a probationary Apprentice Guardian Officer of the United States of America from my representative universe. I do not expect anything further than simple monitoring will be part of my responsibilities.
Hadassah: It looks like Argus is from my universe, so cutting him off would also cut me off. Naturally, I'd prefer a different solution.
That said, at this point, I'd be inclined to guess that Argus is some kind of an automated process, and its communications are going through some rather bad machine translation. I know that my access to this forum is through the Grid... perhaps their access is considerably more resource-intensive?
Would it be possible to check for that, Mother Starlight? I note that the people in Keter had problems like that, for some reason, though I'm not sure why they'd be having dramatically different issues than I do. (a magic/Mania problem?)
That's... ominous. I don't like the implications of "preparations for the attack", if I am, indeed, physically in the same universe as Argus. I'm going to get off the site for a bit, and send messages to the Peerage in more urgent terms; we may be in the midst of a rather unfortunate diplomatic incident, and it'd be preferable if it did not become a war.
I think what's up with this place and cryptic unsettling messages is that cryptic unsettling messages are what some people (and organizations) say when they're confused and afraid, and those kinds of people generally would be confused by and afraid of the sorts of things that you or I are amazed and intrigued by, Leaf.
