What is the chimaera. What is its poison. What is the Oak. What is the Golden Fuel. What are novice dancers.

Thank you, twig animal, for your aid. I apologize for mistaking the chimaera as one of yours, however briefly.
Amira, I am a god. A god of freedom, and rising to all of the hardships and challenges that such a power entails. I am not posturing in a silly fashion. I cannot be anything but what I am. I will not flee before a monster because it doesn't want me around, and I will not hold my tongue when it wants me to be scared. I am not scared. I will be civil on account of she of connections and shining stars, and I will leave if my choice is between leaving and being uncivil. But I am not being uncivil. So I decide to stay.

Keeper, earlier you addressed the chimaera. Did you forget who you were talking about?

No.
The person who understands the twig animal asked me which of the twig animal's statements I wanted explained, and the statements about the chimaera are among them.

What is the chimaera. What is its poison. What is the Oak. What is the Golden Fuel. What are novice dancers. In order: The chimaera appear to be the predators/guards/devil's advocates/enemies of the Garden. Their principal goal, so far as I can tell, is to stop the garden from continuing. Poison: There appear to be five poisons. What they might actually be is known only to the Chimaera and the Oak, but they're probably not things like 'arsenic' or 'hemlock', but more likely metaphysical things like 'haste.' The Oak: The god/leader/teacher of the 45th world. Seems to be the only entity that knows what's going on sometimes. Also occasionally the main 'temporal sequence' of the 45th world/used much like 'the Koi Pond.' Golden Fuel: Artistry/Inspiration/creativity. Likened to fire. Novice Dancers: Probably 'newcomers to the 45th world' language/mode of thought.'

I am intensely curious about this entire situation but I don't have the first clue where to even start asking.

So who were you referring to when you mentioned the chimaera, and why do you think firefly means somebody different?
Could people please use display names instead of descriptions of avatars (I don’t expect the 45th-worlders to abide by that, but I would appreciate it if they did)? I think “twig animal” is relatively clear, but I would not be surprised to learn that the keeper, Raezenoth, and firefly were all referring to different people when they mentioned chimaerae.
EDIT: Oh, one of the people’s display names is chimaera. I was too busy figuring out that “twig animal” meant firefly to check that. Never mind.

The explanation of the chimaera that Dr. Realist just gave is the explanation I was looking for. More or less.

I am intensely curious about this entire situation but I don't have the first clue where to even start asking. I've never known the denizens of the 45th world to be less than welcoming... Well, aside from the Chimaera, but they're a special case. Ask and you'll probably get some sort of answer, though I can't promise it'll be comprehensible.

Now that I have re-read the thread after noticing that “chimaera” is in the display name instead of more poetry I was incorrectly deciphering, and with Dr. Realist’s explanations, this makes more sense. However, firefly, I have a question about two things you said: Why is the chimaera. Is it the same as the hand trees and the twig animal and the painted masks. Why is any of it. Ware the Chimaera. Their poisons are strong, and there are so, so many. Guuuuuys, I think it might be best to steer clear here. We do NOT know what kind of power Chimaera is packing here, and it seems kinda pissed off. And Raezenoth, you're not helping things with that silly posturing. We should applaud even novice dancers: do not fear the Chimaera's poisons. Why did you recommend being careful around the chimaera the first time, but not fearing him the second? Dr. Realist, if you could help translate firefly’s answer if that seems necessary, and perhaps my question if firefly would like that, I would very much appreciate it.

You need not fear the Chimaera's golden claws: you should beware their silver tongues. The desert god has rejected their poisons, but they are insidious.
Remain within the cleansing waters of the Koi Pond, and the Chimaera cannot touch you.
Fear and caution are two different stars.

As I understand it: "I have stumbled upon [This thing called the Koi Pond, implied that it is the peaceful meandering way of speaking] and enjoy its tranquility and peace, mysterious though it may be." Then: "Join us in this way of action/speech. Time passes and embers fade, but memory remains." Implied that they are the ones keeping the memory. The later link is of another who stumbled upon their world and didn't understand. It is not meant to make sense. They are many, but in many ways they are also one of mind. Many small parts that feed into a larger somewhat fractured vision of nature, tranquility and poetry. The forum is not boring yet. I am pleased. We are many, more-than-many and less-than-many. A mask can be worn on many faces, and one face can wear many masks. Perhaps you already wander among the sages. All is One.

All is One.I am accustomed to hearing the words of many mortals, and understanding the meaning the mortal implied with them. I do not seem to have this ability over this forum, possibly because it is the mother of the light of star's domain. But I enjoy the challenge inherent in attempting to understand you, and will continue trying even if it is likely I will remain a novice dancer. I do not know if that means that I wander among the sages or not.

Polite to speak back to 45th people in odd poem metaphor style? I attempted, uncertain if correct, sorry if wrong, want to be friends.
Look up to see the sunlight from the surface, hear windchimes whisper almost-words above. Conjure a flower and glaze a bubble around it, and the bubble floats up toward the sun.
