Other interworld encounters

I had an interesting experience today. Shortly after getting my spellbook order, I was going to my summoning room to see if read magic worked on summoning circles. However, my summoning room door instead lead me to a restaurant. This was apparently Milliways, which Mother Starlight mentioned in passing in the forum’s first post.
I talked to Bar (the restaurant’s bar, who is apparently sentient and female), who gave me a free drink that is really excellent and apparently common in Fairyland (I will have to try to trade for it with fairies I know). When I asked about going to other worlds, she said I could try to get the door to go to another world I knew about, but this didn’t always work (it didn’t for me), and that I could give her things to be held for other patrons (unfortunately, I didn’t have any zorkmids on me, having just spent them all).
While there, I also met somebody who came there from “Olympus colony, Mars, 2159” (this is apparently the standard introduction in Milliways; it was her first time there but she’d met a young girl who’d used it). Apparently the person I spoke to had recently been involved in an incident involving an “extremely irresponsible demon summoner” who had been helping terraform Mars. It turns out that her world has summoning like mine, and it went public sometimes in the early 21st century, although history forgot why this happened. Since their world still exists in 2159, summoning going public didn’t cause quite as many problems as some of our predictions feared. The information I have that most summoners don’t had not gotten out yet, though.
The incident she mentioned was that the demon summoner had used a binding so loose that the demon could have started making black holes instead of water, and the person I talked to had to kill the summoner to get the demon unsummoned as quickly as possible (which was apparently legal because unbound daeva are a danger to those around them). Later, she summoned the demon to ask about how “it” (people had not gotten much more polite to daeva in the past century and a half) had sabotaged Mars, and the answer was apparently a lot of detailed notes which boiled down to “no sabotage”; in exchange, the demon had wanted a confession about killing “its ‘girlfriend’” (the demon summoner). After that, the demon wanted to talk to his girlfriend’s family, which the summoner didn’t allow on the grounds that the demon probably either wanted to gloat about getting her killed or to try to steal their souls.
I told this summoner that in my world there was a perfectly valid non-malevolent reason the demon might have wanted to talk to his girlfriend’s family, although I’d been sworn to secrecy about what it was. I think I convinced her to relay one sentence for him, as long as that sentence didn’t seem evil or like it was trying to trick them into anything unwise.
In the end, I got information about what my world might look like in a hundred and fifty years (and some updated information about bindings), and she got she got hints at some secrets of the universe and might get more if the demon tells her anything.
Apparently this kind of interesting meeting happens quite a lot in Milliways.
