I figured you would. I had not asked before borrowing, so instead only borrowed a minor character and made it easy for nothing more of interest to happen or for that world to never be seen again.

So, he can cast wish at will? That's something. The Foundation has people who've survived a lot of life-and-death encounters, but not many who've done it to the extent a protagonist like Leaf has. They do have SCPs that repeatably cause paralyzing fear ( 303 is the best I know of right now, but I'm sure there are more) so max MP shouldn't be a constraint for long. Paralyzing fear isn't quite right; you have to in some way deal with the situation. Cleaning out 173's enclosure would count. 832 might be useful.

The people freaking out about plane shift might want to read the spell description for gate.

That is indeed worrisome to Andrew, who coincidentally is right now learning about all the spells in the catalog.
Would 832 only be helpful in determining what the available MP is? I thought there was some way to know that beyond “did I successfully cast this spell?”, probably when you were meditating to regain the MP.

Oh, hey, relevant: Do you start off with full MP when you begin interacting with the system, or do you have to charge from empty using mysterious meditation? (Are there non-mysterious-meditation ways to regain MP?)

Does mysterious meditation take a constant amount of time or does it take time dependent on your MP?
EDIT TO ADD: I assumed it started off full and didn’t take too long, but deliberately didn’t say anything that contradicted those assumptions.

MP isn't a currency, so 832 shouldn't tell you how much you have. At least not without establishing a defined value per point, which is a possibility. I thought Mother Starlight meant it might be useful for its other effect, where if you take money away from someone who's holding it they go into panic mode and maybe earn more max MP.

That does make sense; I knew 832 worked on MMORPG currency but thought it wouldn’t on MP. If you take money from somebody and they get it back, I expect that would work.

I think it would be amusing to have a character from a fairly normal Earth come across the board, not want to be affected by rainbows, and assume that it is a bunch of people RPing, before learning otherwise. I have no clue if others would find it amusing, and I know I couldn’t pull it off (I wouldn’t know what to do with the character afterwards).

Max MP is initially filled when you start out or gain more (e.g. 4/10 -> 7/13). Meditation replenishes a fixed fraction of your max MP per time, so speed in MP per time is directly proportional to max MP. It takes about an hour of meditation to go from empty to full. In addition, a full night's sleep replenishes 1 MP.
eta: remember MP is discrete, so if your max MP is 2 then you have to meditate for half an hour to get any benefit.
eta2: if your max mp is greater than zero, then you know what your current and max MP are. This is the same sort of low-key awareness as proprioception or knowing which way is down, and can be impaired by the same sorts of things.

Leaf, in the spirit of caution and restraint for which he is well-known, is buying up two copies of every spellbook QDS has in stock. How often does stock change?

Andrew just did the same thing, including special orders and including minor planar ally and major planar ally, but not scribe magic. I asked OOC if those would be honored. They ordinarily would, but the boss will be alarmed. The boss will probably be more alarmed with Leaf doing the same thing.
EDIT: Why is Leaf doing that? Does he not trust wish enough that he’d prefer to make a suspicious purchase at QDS?

Leaf is doing that because he has a bathtub full of zorkmids to throw around and therefore buying a lot of shit makes more sense than laboriously wishing up all the mentioned spellbooks at a rate of about one per hour. He's also getting ten more copies of read magic so he, Illyan, his mother, and anybody else he thinks of can all read magic all of the books.
He didn't order any unlisted spells or special orders, though.

I haven’t publicly shared the knowledge of how to summon daeva. Did you somehow get that from me anyway, or what?
