I minted Chron with OTC, and I believe the lost time has come and passed. I noticed structural fractures in a newly constructed hive complex two minutes too late to do anything about it. It was not yet inhabited, but it still represents the loss of years of effort. I was warned, so I will not complain further, but I recommend to all others: be cautious with Chron.

By all the waiting lines to the Heavens. I hate confused ghosts. If you want to reconnect with your loved ones, that is fine. If you want revenge, that is also fine. I can deal with either option, but the one ghosts that can't make up their minds? Those are just the worst.

We lost our parents when we are 15, a subway tunnel collapse. My mother helped many others survive by putting out fires and making the air inside flow better, but she along with my father eventually died. We are visiting our grandparents when that happened and were allowed to leave Tormondi to visit our parents in the hospital, but our younger sister stayed. When our parents passed away our legal guardian became a friend of our parents, but our grandparents didn't want to let our sister go and in fact wanted to have us all raised in the traditional Tormondi way. The traditional Tormondi way involves arranged marriages for selective breeding for powers and power combinations, and because the USA doesn't want to get involved with the situation our sister is living with two people with that kind of mentality. It has been five years, we barely have contact with her anymore. Context: Tormondi (aka Stormlands for most english speakers) is a pocket dimension, the second largest one in our world. It has a unique magical problem, elemental beings that cause strong storms, these beings rest for two months and then go full active for an entire month. Tormondi is also the skymages' home, humans like me and my brother that have a hereditary kind of magic that gives various weather/sky powers, they are used to counter the storms. This resulted on a status quo where the skymages are on top and there is a strong cultural valorization of duty and community. Are there no states in your world who would provide (and are capable of providing) asylum to your sister?

Holy hell I just found out what caused the big breaking. Some massive DOUCHE developed and deployed an extremely invasive semi-intelligent computer virus that destroyed anything smart enough to be infiltrated by it, which was most things. Apparently this console belonged to a cryptography geek 'cause it couldn't finish the job here and he left his notes on it.
CAPTAIN JERKWAD's creative computer virus probably killed hundreds of millions of people, maybe even billions. I want to punch something.

Are there no states in your world who would provide (and are capable of providing) asylum to your sister? None that would? We aren't even sure if our sister would take the offer and we can't ask because the communication between us is heavily monitored. She might be denied asylum on the grounds that she has a capable living guardian back on Tormondi (the place with the scary weather-magic people).

If she does not want be in the care of that guardian (which I assumed based on what you had said), their status as such is invalid.
But it seems the relevant people disagree.
Why is your communication with her monitored?

Why is your communication with her monitored? If any of the relevant people agree they don't care enough to make it known. The communication is monitored so we don't "taint" her mind with dangerous concepts like "you should marry who you want" or plans like "meet us at the Saint Dominico's Park at midnight".

Someone asked me to describe the Neuroi invasion here. Fine. The Neuroi first appeared 26 years ago, in 875 A.D. They are large, tall, sometimes-flying black things in a variety of shapes that are supernaturally strong, can fire red energy hotter than Prometheus's fire, and regenerate rapidly from any wound. They can only be killed by striking a dozen nodes in rapid succession, or by destroying their core crystal. Half a dozen Witch strike squads working together with two or three legions of ground forces and light siege can typically destroy a Neuroi legion with only 15-20% casualties, but we can't sustain such a large armed force as the Neuroi seem to.
Ostmark, Greece, Dazia, the western edges of Orussia, and large parts of Turkey are now solely comprised of black glass. Hurricanes spin off from the infected areas and destroy crops thousands of miles afield. No attempt to communicate with the invaders has been successful. They move like machines, taut with killing intent and senseless to anything they are not trying to slay. OTC's weapons will help, but if anyone can help me destroy the invader scum, it would be welcome.

This sounds like the sort of problem the World-Tree Coalition might be interested in helping with, SPQR.

Assuming you believe me at all, thank you for the offer of help. Aside from OTC who would likely be able to visit anyway if they wanted to, I am hesitant to invite random forumnites to our world. Things could still be far worse. Are there any references for your organization? Please respond via pm.

Welcome swoofer! You are not crazy. The big monkeys are all hairless? They might be humans, have you tried talking with them? Yeah it sounds like they probably are. I tried talking to them but they don't understand our words! I don't think they can even hear some of them.

Typical, if they really are as smart as they claimed to be they would find a way to understand. Well, at least they stopped?

They stopped killing each other and bats, mostly. But every winter there are more and more stupid roads and houses instead of nice, bug-filled forests!

Humans sort of need stupid roads and houses, but that shouldn't cost your own places... ...maaaaybe you could try writing to talk with them? Humans do this thing where they sometimes communicate by using visual marks that represent sounds and concepts. ...or you could try a universal translator from the OTC, but that is way more expensive.

Every winter there are always more humans and always less bats. They put one person in a place that can hold a hundred bats. Are they just more important than us? One human is better than a hundred bats? Is that what you're saying here?
