They might be part of a whole planet. It's a kind of name, but it might get confusing because it's also a word and a common one at that. How about you take a slightly modified word like Cavical and ask Mother Starlight to leave it untranslated. Then you can talk about caves and worlds that are like yours easier without misunderstandings, especially if you put the world in your profile.

Oh, yes, I'll name my world here. Let's see... the Planet isn't an Earth, it has quite a bit of magic, and I'll count the date by Modge years: it's 186 AOM. I'm going to call it Alevaia. It doesn't mean a thing in any language I know, but it's a Nice-Sounding Word and I don't see why not.
Novelty, sweetie, I think you could call it Caves if you want to! But like gabriael said it could be confusing, so you could pick a Nice-Sounding Word instead like I did.

Oh, people are naming their worlds here! That is cute.
I am Home. That is me. I don't have an Earth, but I have some magic. I have years but I don't pay close attention to them.

Cloudbank is a planet of a similar size and using similar physics to the 'standard Earth'. It has an extremely thick atmosphere divided into three distinct layers: The Deeps, which are extremely hot and poisonous, run from 0-70km. The habitable zone, friendly to (earth-origin) life runs from 70-150km. The hydrogen layer, which is >95% hydrogen, extends from 150km to about 300km. We almost certainly used to have powerful technology, but the most complex construction we can build in current times is a ceramic single-expansion steam engine. (I receive this forum via completely inexplicable carrier pigeon, electronics sound fascinating and useful) People live on 'islands' made of 'floatstone' which is a rock-like substance full of enough pockets of hydrogen to float in the nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere. Food and biological products are relatively abundant here, but a major problem on my world is the extreme scarcity of metal. Most people fly airships, farm, or make crafts for a living. Each human gets a weak magical ability during adolescence, which seems to be correlated with personality. Mine is a vague intuitive sense of how heavy things within about a 50-foot radius are. Some other examples include changing one's skin color, crating a small light from one's hand, momentarily doubling one's strength, unusually sharp eyesight, etc.

My world is an Earth, matching the map except for some minor political boundaries between countries, which match historical maps I've been able to find. I think my Earth is one of the standard ones, but there could be differences I'm missing. The year is 2035 AD. There isn't magic.
It's easiest to name things based on deviations from a standard. I think my Earth is very close or possibly identical to the standard Earth; does anyone have suggestions for naming a world if nothing really stands out about it?

I think you don't have the same year as any other Earths in the list. Maybe you could pick a recent prominent person or event?

Recent important people seems like it might risk a lawsuit, so here's some recent important events. Please note that this list is skewed toward my interests.
2017 - Measles and Rubella were eradicated. 2019 - The rate of organ failures inexplicably sharply increased. 2023 - The Comm-Watch became widely available. 2028 - Synthetic organ transplants were first tested and found successful. 2029 - GeneGel was first tested and found successful. 2030 - Synthetic organs became widely available and affordable. 2032 - Polio was eradicated. Holo-photos were invented and made available to purchase. 2033 - Minor genetic alterations to embryos were made available. Changes were made to common pest insect species, to make them less effective at carrying diseases, causing infestations, and harming crops. 2034 - Portable holo-projections were made widely available. Several effective painkillers were successfully tested and released to some medical companies.
Do any of these significantly differ from other nonmagical Earths' histories?

Most of those seem to be genetic or medical. How about Gene?

I think that's probably just because I'm the one who wrote the list, but sure. If someone from my world shows up and wants to argue about the name, we can discuss changing it.
My world is Gene (contains Earth, 2035 AD/CE, no magic).

I have decided to call my world The Afterlife Bureaucracy, it contains a 21th century Earth and magic that is known by the public but isn't heavily used (never knew why).
We also already have multiple afterlives, I think the last official count said 10,000 or more. Each one wants to try to claim each soul that dies, leading to a extremely complex and maze-like Bureaucracy where the souls of the dead have to wait for centuries until they are placed in an afterlife somewhere.

The HIVER name for current galaxy translates as Mother. This is not distinctive. Call our world Hive Plane. We have not observed any Humans or Magic in this plane.

I decided to call my world Quinn, it doesn't have this Earth that so many people live in. It has the magic in the form of Elemental Primes and Blessings. I don't know much what to say about it, I know it isn't a perfect world, we can have war, disease and hunger, but they don't sound like a special trait?
