Time is difficult, as well as mean.
I also disapprove of the end of the world. I have spent my life working to prevent it.
I am concerned about the number of people here who claim to be closely associated with time, in a friendly sort of way. Why are you "doing" time? Or going to councils for creating it? Are you not aware of how dangerous time is?
Xom, it would indeed be very surprising to me if time worked differently in your world than mine. Luckily (since I don't care for surprises), that's simply absurd. It's just as likely that boolean logic would function differently as that time would. You must be mistaken.

If I didn't do time then things wouldn't happen. I like being a place where things can happen. If I wasn't a place where things could happen then I wouldn't be Home. I don't do dangerous time things like what you're talking about, I just do things happening in an order.

You cannot just have a thing and call it time if it does not do the things that time is. You might as well just call a banana "time."

My dear, you seem like a lovely person. But believe me, you were already confused. Don't feel bad. Time is confusing, especially for humans.

I am not a human! I am Home. That is me. I am the home of some humans, but I am not one, because I am me instead. If I were a human I would not be Home and I would not have to do time for things to happen and I would not be having this very confusing conversation probably.

What does it mean to be a Home? Is that more like being an element, or like a human? It sounds somewhat like being an element.

It means I am a place where people live, and I am being and doing all the things that are and happen in the place, like landscapes and magic and time.

I believe I shall consider you an honorary element. After all, I am rather like that, only I am being and doing only the things that sapphire is, rather than all the things in a place. It would certainly be convenient to be able to control time directly. Can you simply make it behave itself all the time, then? I can't imagine. You must be very powerful.

I don't think it's very much like I'm making it behave itself really. It's more like I am just making it be. If I wanted to make it behave like your time behaves, that would be harder than what I am doing, and also it would not be very nice.

I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that everyone on this forum is completely mad. I understand that humans can't just look at time, but still. I am beginning to question this assignment.

Afternoon all! I'm Silver, and Steel's asked me to ... step in for Sapphire for a while. Just while she collects herself.

Is Home really what she sounds like? So interesting!
