There is still a Possessed Pony Princess on the Moon, looming certain Doom over Equestria. If she isn't depowered when she frees herself, still holds her grudge and has managed to completely suppress the Pony Princess part of her personality then all of Lauren might be destroyed by making the Moon fall. I tried to warn ponies, but they called me mad, I tried to talk to the Princess, but she has gone in seclusion after the solstice for some reason.
If there are any people with serious combat potential able to trap really powerful mages I would beg their help.

The World-Tree Coalition is interested in helping you. Could you please describe the problem in more detail?

Oh my! That sounds horrible!
I can't grant any help directly myself, but depending on how soon it is, I could arrange birth blessings for the people involved?

That is very promising. So I'll start with reiterating what I've managed to glean from studying the enchantements, history and the Mare in the Moon herself.
In ancient times before ponies understood gravity and conservation of rotary momentum they found out magically that Lauren was falling toward the Sun(Which is normal, planets fall toward suns, but keep missing because of conservation of rotary momentum). They panicked and devised a great rite to make the sun and moon "continue to rotate around Lauren each day" Apparently that killed the star spirit. Now the stars hate ponies and want to exterminate them all, preferably along with the rest of the planet we're on. Thankfully their moments are measured in millennia and all their plans have been easily thwarted.
Until a young princess called Luna, suffering from Cutie Mark Failure Insanity Syndrome decided that she didn't want to be just Princess of the Moon, but also Princess of the Stars, to "make her night sky prettier". Things didn't go well and the stars now had their most powerful member acting in Pony time and armed with a Pony Princess, one of the most powerful beings in all of Harmony. Very powerful monsters, certain Magic Vampires when well fed and primordial spirits are known to give Pony Princesses trouble, but other than that only Harmony itself can stand up to them. Her sister, Princess Celestia, who has vanished a few weeks ago, sealed her in the Moon with Harmony itself, but that broke her heart and closed her connection with Harmony. With no one to reinforce the seal it will in time be broken by the star spirits(also known as star demons, but they are probably not evil, just mad that Ponies killed one of them in what to them is very recent memory. If they kill us within the next ten millennia they could still be said to have acted in the heat of the moment.)
There once was a unicorn mage who made himself immortal by binding his soul to a powerful magical artifact. To achieve that he needed the suffering of hundreds of sapient beings. I reverse engineered his feat and can use it to siphon the dark power of the sealed Princess. In the best case Scenario this will free the Princess from the Mother of the Stars and allow her to leave the Moon on her own. After recovering from my advanced age I could add even more failsafes to make that more probable.
Possible problems: 1. The Princess is still sealed afterwards and we would have to retrieve her some other way. This is the most likely complication, but with several kingdoms worth of people and the internet it should be possible to find someone who is worthy of wielding Harmony to free her. The prerequisites are Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty, Loyalty and Love. But the treat of extinction would go away.
2. The Mother of the Stars has calmed down, is no longer planeticidal and will be let out without her dark powers. I don't rightly know what would happen then. We would try to apologize, maybe use one of those resurrection tickets on the Sun... That would be really helpful anyway actually, if we could stop the Sun, put Lauren back into a proper orbit around it, spin it back up to rotate once every 16 hours and resurrect the star spirit. Anyway, we would still have more Pony Princesses on our side and if she separates from Princess Luna she would be back to acting half a million times slower than ponies.
3. The Corrupted Princess breaks free and tries to fight us. We would have two Princesses on our side, Celestia and Cadenza should feel it wherever they are and can teleport, meaning we will win. I would like to stack the deck further in our favor. If we can subdue her I will feed her a poison that will weaken her(Courtesy of the Changeling Queen) drain her of all dark influences and separate the Mother from her. In the worst case I would have to sacrifice the Mother, killing her.
4. The Princess has been broken completely and is under total control of the Mother of the Stars and wants to destroy the planet. If she is very smart she could have found several weaknesses in the Rite that bound Sun and Moon to Lauren and exploit the Moon Princess' connection to call down the Moon onto Lauren. If everything lines up neatly for her we would be looking at three to 4.5 days until the Moon Crashes. In that case we would have to find, catch and subdue her very quickly and assemble hundreds of Unicorns as quickly as possible to recast the rite(I am preparing it on huge swathes of sail cloth in advance, it should be ready in four days.)
If four is the case and the Mother is really smart, then she could some day break out on her own, make it look like she didn't break out, build up a power base, magical warding against detection and shielding and THEN crash the Moon.

I'd suggest redeeming some Chron before you go, just in case. not sure how you feel about hints: You also might want to take a few Izikiel along, in case it comes to a direct confrontation.

That is definitely a good idea and I definitely like hints. I am going to acquire some Chron and Izikiel.

Indeed. The question is weather it affected the Mother of the Stars, the Princess or both. The Mother of the Stars used to be slow enough that she might not yet have realized what happened. The question is if she was accelerated with the possession, or just influenced the Princess Mind through her presence.

It sounds as though other people are taking care of this. I haven't done anything of this sort before, myself, but I suppose I could try to help if you think there's something I can do.

I am not sure if my ticket can ressurect the sun. The way it works it needs to come in contact with the dead body. That person's soul will be able to bring it to their afterlife and use it, an intern will pick then up and bring them back.
Also, maybe we could use the ticket to get Ka to buy stuff from the OTC?

No, I have many Ka and can get a lot more when Lizzie gets around to delivering her Potions.
