This is the counterpart to the Mini-notifications thread on Alicorn's forum. MWF-continuity things should go here instead of there.

Tyche PMthread / sendingscience*gestures vaguely at threads* Would one of the authors of this/these be willing to take over notificationsing for it? I don't know of a good way to do it, the lack of autoscroll is annoying. Alternatively, make it available in a format that's friendlier to people reading over your virtual shoulders? I'm unclear on the desiderata here why you're favoring this format.

I find dreamwidth a little unwieldy at the best of times and am definitely not up for trying to 'port this over, but I landed on google docs to complement the etherpad kind of by default; does anyone have a suggestion for a different format that might work better all around?

How about a backstage thread? The main thing for shouldering is that it comes in discrete chunks, like forum posts or dw comments, so that we can see immediately whether there's been an update, and jump easily to the last thing we haven't seen yet.

Sure, that sounds doable.

...or not, the square brackets we're using for formatting conflict with the bbcode parser.

...oh, oh dear.
How difficult would it be to find-replace [ and ] to [ and ]?
