During routine comparison of the Internet to the contents of SCP-335 on ██/█/20██, it was noted that SCP-335-149 “Dave” contained an additional site. This is to date the only known distinction between the Internet proper and SCP-335. The site, temporarily designated SCP-335-A, purports to be a hub for interdimensional communication in the form of an ordinary Internet forum. To date it contains messages from ██ respondents, mostly anonymous, who claim to be from █ distinct worlds of differing natures and eras. A device using SCP-335-149 can access SCP-335-A at [REDACTED], but navigating to that address through ordinary channels reveals only a 404 error.
According to unsubstantiated claims within SCP-335-A, the SCP may contain hazardous memetic agents. Users on SCP-335-A exhibit no training in or understanding of basic memetic security. Despite its nature as a likely hoax, no personnel may access SCP 335-149 without Beta-Gimel class precautions due to the unknown magnitude of any such hazards.
Senior researchers at Site █ have decided to monitor SCP-335-A pending any further developments. Comparison between SCP-335 and the entire contents of the Internet is now to occur at increased frequency to detect any other unknown discrepancies.

Oh my goddesses is Dave okay? Or, or, SCP-335-something or other I don't know? Is he OKAY? He's being studied? I am alarmed, why are you studying Dave, why does he contain very complicated clockwork, that sounds hazardous and scary!

I am wondering some of the very same things, Prism.

I'm sure that a primer on "basic memetic security" would be more than welcome, if you're willing to share.

I am also wondering these things. But I’m also wondering why they appear to get a 404 (Page Not Found) error when accessing this site through normal means, when I do not. I’d also like to point out that the “unsubstantiated claims within SCP-335-A” say that there will not be unlabeled hazardous memetic agents, and that I would be really surprised if the Gray Librarian and probably Mother Starlight had not had appropriate training.

Mother Starlight, this is your forum, is there a way you can check to make sure Dave is okay?

I second dispersiveprism's request.

Andrew, the forum tends to manifest differently in different worlds; this is normal.
In general, I don't have the ability to directly check on people like that. In this case, "Dave" seems to be a name written on an object that's used to access the forum, but I can't really tell if there's an actual person involved or what. I don't think I can detect anything complex enough to be a person in the forum's instantiation in 3359's world, but that's not really conclusive. Hopefully if Dave is a person then they'll post something.

Addendum 335-149a
Following the above incident, subsequent observation revealed that Experiment Log 335-149 appeared on SCP-335-A itself, revealing all information available with a Level 2 security clearance. The explanation for this security breach is unknown. O5 Command was notified and all relevant Site █ personnel with Level 2 clearance or higher were reassigned. SCP-335-149 itself has been secured through standard measures, series B.
Since the breach, Foundation personnel have received notifications of responses to Experiment Log 335-149. Each notification stated some variant, subject to the requirements of its medium, on the content of the reply. The first of these was an email to Agent ███████’s personal address, and the second was a text message to secure line █ (which is, it should be noted, a rotary phone). Subsequent notifications came through an apparently human town crier whose clothes and speech indicated he originated from Germany circa 15██, a kissogram to Dr. ████, a message written on a wall in a red fluid chemically indistinguishable from a common brand of blue paint, a fifteen-meter hologram inside Site █ (ceiling height: 2.5 m), [REDACTED], and Victorian floriography. All of the messages disappeared within ██ minutes of observation, and each corresponded to a response on the purported multidimensional communication network.
To outward appearances, commenters do not have any classified information other than what appeared in the initial leak.
In light of its apparent existence independent of SCP-335, the anomaly has been reclassified as SCP-3359. Authorization is pending to engage with it directly.

Those sound like very, um, bizarre ways of telling you that you have a message.
Your - Foundation? Foundation. Is kind of terrifying. I'm kind of terrified. Who are you, why do you have Dave, why does Dave have complex clockwork in him, why are messages sent in kissograms, why do you seem to have a system for dealing with weird anomalies in a terrifying fashion?

Assuming those are in order, I can’t find any pattern between the poster here and how they got a notification.
If “Dave” is just the name written on the outside of a device, it is likely that Dave is not really a person. This sounds like if Dispersive Prism were to write a common name where she’s from on the back of one of her crystals.
I’m worried about them “engag[ing] with [The MWF] directly”. Do they mean they will deliberately attempt to post here, or that they will attempt to, I don’t know, secure or contain the forum in some fashion in order to protect themselves from it? Can they disrupt service for us? Can they cut the forum off from their world? Can they at least turn off the annoying, anachronistic message notifications?

They might be able to cut themselves off from the forum. It shouldn't be possible for them to disrupt service to other worlds.
I'll see what I can do about the message notifications.

Also, a 404 is an… interesting thing to happen. As I understand it, that means their computer is talking to another computer when they try to reach the forum using conventional means, and this other computer is saying it doesn’t know what they want. I would expect them to get a different type of error, where they can’t even find a computer to talk to.
In paper terms, as I understand the difference, looking for a page on the World Wide Web is a two-step process. It’s analogous to trying to find a book in a library sorted by author and title (instead of subject, as is common here): first you go to the section for the specific author, and then you find the book you want in that section. Getting a 404 is like finding that the author does exist, but didn’t write a book by the name you’re looking for. I would expect them to instead find that there is no such “author” if the forum isn’t manifesting. Perhaps it’s some weird interaction with this “SCP-335” thing which somehow has the entire contents of the Internet. Or perhaps errors work differently in their world than here for some reason.
