May I say, holy crap, that was not how I, personally, read that statement. If that is a more literal version of that statement, then I might have been writing Hadassah as too untraumatized. ><;

Oh dear.
I should probably have done this earlier, but somehow it didn't occur to me. Funny how I can conceive of a character who realizes that perfect communication is important without also realizing the illusion of transparency is a thing myself. >.<

Hadassah is only around 20 years old, and fifteen of those years were spent with the Mad Rabbi, her set of experiences that the message could draw upon are fairly limited overall so one line would be painful. The relevant line is here: I have no pre-existing intentions to harm anyone here, though that may change if, say, one of you turns out to be a slaver or mass murderer or something. If Hadassah had allowed Esthfora to filter the statement it would have appeared as rainbow text, so most everyone else on Pantheon would have been safe (even probably without protection) it just struck a chord in Hadassah's core. Hadassah would have been suspicious for the first half that something was up, but the line above would have translated into something like: "I mean not now to inflict my wrath upon any of thine here, unless thee or thine turn out to be just like your master, a monster among humanity, worthy of no less than instant destruction." Not prone to emotional outbursts, Hadassah would have frozen, rereading the line for a few minutes, before remember that this was a Truth-spelled message. Instead of finishing reading the post, she would have immediately turned away, and began writing an email that she was magically-emotionally manipulated (as any employee (or equipment) should report to management that they were damaged while working). She is literally treated like she might snap any day and turn into something like the Mad Rabbi (whose soul was used as an imprint to give Hadassah more individuality and functionality as an assistant) every day by a few of her coworkers and bosses, so this line would strike home hard and painfully. After rereading the post with the assistance of a few divine filters that would free her from being forced to see the message quite so personalized, she'd finally be assured that Meletiti didn't mean to personally threaten her at all, but definitely just used super creepy magic to speak to force her to understand his meaning with unnecessary brutal comprehension.

Meanwhile, reading that, Thorn got the bit of her personal history I thought she might be getting there (Suffice to say she did something along the lines of nuking a sizable (and exsurgent infected) population center during the Fall, and considers herself to qualify for the title of mass murderer). Luckily, she's been filtering the forum through a fork, but she's probably rather annoyed with ME for breaking her fork again. If she was not avoiding that thread, she would probably be complaining about that. (And probably also wanting to give Hadassah a hug)

Geez, that non-non-interventionist policy I gave him is paying off so many dividends today...

The funny thing is, Thorn would probably approve of that policy in the abstract. That may have actually made it worse, however.

Hadassah would appreciate the hugs too, though it's not like you could have known what would have happened. That sort of accident is prone to happen occasionally with even normal communication.
I suppose to remain in context, for future members on the forum:
Please don't assume that any further magic or power to supernaturally manipulate understanding will work on Hadassah or Pantheon via the forum. She can still be convinced and cajoled into ideas, but it cannot be more powerful than any normal discourse tools.

Mother Starlight is tightening forum security. Please assume by default that it is secure against even magical attacks, and that even seemingly benign magical effects are not transmitted through the forum. Pre-existing things may be grandfathered in.

Note that the translation stuff happening with Orz is, in part, because of that kind of security. Understanding Orz perfectly is itself a memetic hazard, as it comes from a place that is very weird and dangerous. Fortunately, most translation effects natively fail to understand Orz perfectly, so there usually is no such hazard. You only get into trouble when you use really heavy-duty magical effects, capable of imposing examples of alien concepts into your mind to fill in the really exact meaning of a message that you run into problems, because Orz is *weird* and ancient and has been in some incredibly nasty places, and there is hazardous subtext. It's not a super-huge problem; esthfora would block Orz if it was trying to show *campers* its *surprising toys*. But anyone who specifically opts into ME's perfect translation will find something subtly horrible and wrong about Orz-speak. In the same sense that anyone reading esthfora's rainbow-text gets the magical knowledge that they are reading a true statement, anyone who Orz *squirts* *pretty colours* at will feel the effects of conversing with a cheerful and personable eldritch monstrosity from an alien spacetime, whose every word echoes with hints of Things Man Was Not Meant To Know.

Mother Starlight has added a deadman's-switch messaging feature to the forum. I have not. Please play along.

Be aware that xom, prior to being locked out, attempted to give a choko to each forum member, which would appear at their feet if nothing interferes with it, tagged as a god gift (as per usual Zot god gift mechanics).

ERROR's tech is extremely aggressively fucked up. Tech support will be difficult. She'll get a real account soon.
