If you do not already have one then you are too late! Xom cannot give gifts now and your lateness is incredibly amusing.
Try retracing your path, there may be one on the ground somewhere.

Wait what that was YOU? Is this thing edible? Is it going to try to kill me? Is it magic and going to eat my soul?!

Huh.Let me check my logs.
... Found it. And that is interesting. I've never seen that kind of radiation burst before. Can somebody confirm that the gourd is somehow magical? If so, then I now have proof that external magic ceases to function in Fractal. That, or Xom is a messy teleporter.

Fruit cannot be magical. What would a bonus even do to fruit? They should be perfectly safe to eat.

A fruit could have lots of magic applied to it in principal. Healthier, ore nutritious, tastier, etc. Why could a fruit not me magical in your system?

It is simply not a thing that is done, I suppose. Magical items from the Dungeon of Zot are either evocable, readable, wearable, or potions.

That was no good. If Daddy had been looking he would have been confused, and i had to hide it. Can you take it back?

Is that a fundamental limitation, tradition, or do you not know how to do it any other way?

There is a vegetable. In the Grid.
It is tagged as being a gift from a god.
I am confused, which doesn't happen often.

Is that a fundamental limitation, tradition, or do you not know how to do it any other way? The former. I suppose some upstart god could make his or her powers alter the properties of food, but ordinary magical items are not food and the closest any current god comes to making food special is Fedhas, who requires fruit and/or vegetables as reagents for many of her invocations. Potions, of course, are obviously not food, and do not maintain their properties if they are poured out of their flasks (in any manner other than to quickly quaff them).

Why would the potion stop working outside it's flask? Is the flask the magical item here, or is the liquid enchanted.
So why wouldn't it be possible to get some liquid food, like oatmeal, and put it in a vial, and enchant it to be extra nutritious?
I apologize for my many questions. I am a a scholar, and like understanding how and why things work. If it becomes annoying to you, I will stop.
