Grigori, you’ve mentioned your speciality of Apokalypsi a few times. Please tell me that doesn’t mean what I think it does.

If you're thinking about the similarity to 'apocalypse', you're probably mistaken, the root is Greek, and the meaning is "Revelation" (like the Bible book, hence the misapprehension).
Apokalypsi reveals; it is the Axiom of Information and Discovery. Any well-formed question can be answered with it, in theory.

Hello, my name is Adielae.
I am in trouble with my homeworld because of the plague I started, but we don't need to talk about that yet. I'm here looking to escape my worries, after all!
I found this forum shortly after I escaped from my planned execution. One of the bars on the window was missing, so I made a dash for it while they were looking for the poison. I'm pretty fast, after all. I hid out for awhile, and another fugitive told me I should check out this place, maybe I could learn something interesting, get out of my dilemma. But we don't need to talk about that yet.
I enjoy clean water and the smell of charred wood. My lifelong dream was to study the microscopic bugs that were rumored to cause disease. Unfortunately I dreamed too big and it backfired. Oh well, we don't need to talk about that yet.
I look forward to meeting all of you and learning about your worlds!

Hello, Adielae! It's nice to meet you.
Feel free to ignore me if you don't want to talk about this, but when you say "microscopic bugs that were rumored to cause disease," do you mean germs? I guess you wouldn't know if you still haven't confirmed that they cause disease. I can tell you stuff about germs! I'm not supposed to talk about magic too much but I don't think knowing this could hurt anybody and germs aren't magic anyway.

TamakoMaki, if Adielae caused a plague without knowing about germs, then are you sure you should tell her more about germs before you’re quite sure the plague was accidental?
Adielae, are you saying that other people from your world know about this forum? How come none of them have posted anything?

Heya everyone!
The name's Amira McKenzie, but people usually call me Mira, Kenzie, or M (or, on occasion, Combat Wombat, "YOU FOOL!", or *indecipherable scream of rage*). I'll answer to pretty much anything that's not obviously referring to someone else, really! (Just for clarification: no I am not a wombat, martially inclined or otherwise. Not really sure how that nickname got started, to be honest. Gods my friends are such dorks.)
Anyway, this forum seems like a completely fantastic idea! I've been begging my higher-ups in CORE to implement something like this in Sanctum for ages, but they keep muttering things like "impractical" and "incredibly dangerous." I don't see what the big fuss's about, myself - now that you've all proven it can work without causing any interdimensional catastrophes, I'm sure they'll catch on in no time.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone! If you’re planning a visit to Sanctum, let me know and I can show you around the city in person. If you haven’t come before, I highly recommend it – all the first-time visitors I've talked to say it’s the experience of a lifetime (plus we have GREAT mudu steak!). If your world doesn't have any portals here yet, I might be able to get a Jumper to set something up for you - they're always looking for more worlds to add, after all. (Oh, I should probably mention that Sanctum has a strict anti-divine-interference policy, in case any of you are deifically inclined. Gods, goddesses, and other divine entities ARE allowed entry, but you'd have to temporarily give up your divine mantle for the duration of your stay in the city.)
Feel free to ask me anything at any time - I'll respond whenever I have a break from the busy work of keeping Sanctum safe for interdimensional travelers!

Me! Me! Pick Me! Buuut What does it mean to "give up their divine mantle" Just "Don't demand respect just cause you were born a god." or "leave your Might at home." Because the second one I imagine is a scam to get gods, incapacitate them and then steal their Might.

I'm confused but intrigued about this Sanctum you mention, Mira. Also what's a divine mantle and how does one give it up?

Leaf, I'm sorry if I caused any confusion! It's POSSIBLE that I posted just a bit rashly... I guess I just assumed that most people here were connected to the Central Portal Network, but after some poking around the forum, I'm starting to realize that you might be much "further" (or however distance works when you're talking about interdimensionality or cross-planar travel - I'm no mage) from the city than I thought. Sanctum is a neutral ground of sorts - a city in between the planes that welcomes travelers from all worlds while guaranteeing them freedom from deific interference. I've heard people call it the Crossroads, the City of Many Paths, Omega City, or one of any number of other names, but basically, if you exist you're welcome in Sanctum. The Central Portal Network allows quick travel to and from all the most populated worlds that we've come into contact with, making Sanctum a center for trade and the exchange of ideas (particularly magical ones). I work for CORE, which is basically the governing body of the city. Divine mantles are... sorta hard to explain, as a non-mage. They're what we call the bundle of magical power, worshipers' faith, and divine spark that makes a deity what they are. To renounce one's divine mantle is to walk among mortals as one of them, if only for a limited time. But we certainly don't want to steal any deific power, Gabriael! CORE just doesn't want gods to cause trouble by bringing their powers within the confines of the city. Otherwise, we'd become a really really dangerous battlefield really really quickly, and that is NOT something I want to have to deal with Anyway, does that answer everyone's questions?

Hello.
There are many gods here. You all work differently than I do. It's interesting. So I made an account.
I will be around until you are boring.

I'm pretty sure that will be a while, Raezenoth. What kind of god are you?

I am the god of the desert wind. I value freedom and fairness and self reliance.

Those are some nice things to value.
You said the gods here work differently than you do; how? What's different about them?

Hahah, yeah, what Leaf said. Bizarre, overly verbose, and possibly a little dangerous, sure - but boring, never!
(Please alert me immediately if I ever become boring, by the way, for that will be the day I decide to investigate a career change.)
EDIT: Whoops, aura fluctuation threw off my timing - this should have gone two posts up.

Yes, they are.
They work differently. I cannot say rainbow truths like the goddess of iridescent water droplets, and I do not command bureaucracy like the many faced gods of the creature of mobile stone's land. Furthermore, they do not have acolytes. It is strange. I do not mind.
