I don't think there are any prophecies like that, but I will definitely look now!

It's okay! I'm sure if there are snakes somewhere in my wheat products the Ministry would let me know and act accordingly!

I am very annoyed.
While examining my available information, I discovered an artifact connected to a malevolent force which could act on anyone who knew the artifact's shape and composition. It was extremely unpleasant to deal with, and in the end I had to permanently destroy the malevolent force. I could still instantiate it again if I chose, of course, but I am certainly not going to do so. Permanent destruction is upsetting. Malevolent forces that act through information alone are inconvenient and bothersome.

Information danger, evil thing, could hurt people, no longer can -> more safety for people -> I have secondhand gratitude for world's people, safety. I have secondhand annoyance for you, permanent destruction, bother. I hope no other things, similar effect, similar annoyance.

I’m glad to hear that you can handle otherworldly memetic hazards yourself, since Esthfora probably can’t censor them when you see them directly instead of via this forum.

It is my understanding that she would not be able to do that, indeed. Although I wonder to what extent that is a matter of wanting my permission to try.

That sounds suspiciously familiar. Was this artifact a key?

Yes, it was.
Was it from your world?

So, I think I mentioned somewhere that I might be sent on a mission soon. As you may guess from the fact that I'm posting in this thread, it did not go well.
I really cannot discuss it in depth for a number of reasons, but highlights include our diplomat getting killed at our initial meeting with our contact, someone successfully sneaking up on me, being sleeved in a synthmorph and resulting loopiness, and no one being able to recover my stack (they are fairly certain it was destroyed, at least).
Suffice to say the last few weeks have not been the most pleasent.
I will endevour to catch up.

Thorn: Bad stuff all around, huh? You have my sympathies (believe me, I know how it feels!). Think you're gonna be all right? I'd offer support if I could, but that's hard to do across worlds.

Thank you, Lantern. I hope so too, but I don't really expect it.
Mira,
It seems like it.
I am -- managing. I have been through much worse. I just hate it when my team gets hurt like that. Our diplomat's going to be jumping at shadows for months. (At least she may be better prepared next time.)
And we still do not know what happened to our contact, which is rather nerve-wracking
