I was able to translate most of that, but Torz and Sweela have a bit too much cultural connotation to fit into single words for people who aren't already familiar with them. Ooh, new concepts! Can someone elaborate a bit on them for me?

I was able to translate most of that, but Torz and Sweela have a bit too much cultural connotation to fit into single words for people who aren't already familiar with them. Ooh, new concepts! Can someone elaborate a bit on them for me? Of course! I should have explained sooner. The elemental affiliations are Elay (Air and Spirit), Hunti (Wood and Bone), Sweela (Fire and Mind), Coru (Water and Blood) and last-but-not-least Torz (Earth and Flesh) each group is associated with an element, a part of the human being and kind of personality. Torz are often said to be "boring", but that is a misuderstanding, we are just calm and centered, we keep to ourselves. Sweela are very intelectual with opinions that are like fire (it can be warm, but it can burn you!) Each element has eight associated blessings (should I list them all?) and there are three blessings not associated with any elements (Synthesis,Triumph and Time). I have two sweela blessings (Imagination, Creativity) and one torz (Wealth), but I think of myself more of a Torz because I live a lot on my own head, and I am not engaging like Sweela's usually are (except when it is about books and stories!) Birth blessings are draw sometime after you are born (usually the same day) and represent the broad strokes of you and your life. You can draw blessings to foretell the future. Before I discovered this place I got no less than three surprises! There is no way I could have predicted what was next! Oh, I should explain about the Primes? Or I should explain them in the thread about magic?

Moving out of the introduction thread sounds like a good idea. Done.

I'd like to know the rest of the blessings, and what kinds of personalities are associated with Elay, Hunti, and Coru, unless it's possible for me to discover these things on my own.

I'd like to know the rest of the blessings, and what kinds of personalities are associated with Elay, Hunti, and Coru, unless it's possible for me to discover these things on my own. I don't mind explaining! Here is the list of blessings and their associated elements. Elay: Joy, Hope, Kindness, Beauty, Vision, Grace, Honor, Spirituality. Hunti: Courage, Strength, Steadfastness, Loyalty, Certainty, Resolve, Determination, Power. Sweela: Innovation, Love, Imagination, Clarity, Intelligence, Charm, Talent, Creativity. Coru: Change, Travel, Flexibity, Swiftness, Resilience, Luck, Persistence, Surprise. Torz: Serenity, Honesty, Health, Fertility, Contentment, Patience, Endurance, Wealth. Extraordinary Blessings: Synthesis,Triumph, Time. PersonalitiesElay: Insightful but without the focus of a Sweela, they are know to be happy, but I personality interpret it as more moving on, maybe too quickly. Hunti: A strong personality, very attached to their convictions. They are more likely to break, than to bend, but it is very hard to break them. Coru: Can get along anywhere and prone to go everywhere. Adaptable, Flexible, good at using opportunities and survive. The PrimesThere are five families connected with the elements and each one has someone that personifies that element, when that person dies, the nearest relative with fitting personality is chosen. Primes have powers related to their elements. The Hunti prime can control Wood and Bone (because of my book the current one gave me a very elaborate paper sculpture that is impossible make without powers) and the others have similar powers. I am not sure what Elay primes can do with the Spirituality aspect, but I have seen the Coru and Sweela primes manipulating Water and Fire respectively too. The Torz prime was there too, but no power display (which isn't surprising if you know Torz).

When drawing blessings, what's the approximate time scale they apply to? For example, how long was it between you drawing all those surprises and finding the forum?

When drawing blessings, what's the approximate time scale they apply to? For example, how long was it between you drawing all those surprises and finding the forum? Hi, again everyone! Sorry for taking so long to reply, I am in this major shindig and it can be hard to get away and be myself sometimes. There is no fixed scale, but usually less than a month, and there is some influence between important or lasting events and how near-ish they are. The blessings are about what happens instead of what you become aware. If you draw Fertility, you might be pregnant, or become pregnant soon, but only truly know for sure months later (or maybe your garden does really well). I found the forum the same afternoon after drawing the three surprises. Rukhura you are very lucky! I mentioned the shindig, the Elay prime is here too and I got the chance to be in a conversation with her. She is very nice (a bit distractible, but nice) she explained the Spirit aspect and it was hard to understand most of it, but here is the important thing: She can draw birth blessings for a person no matter how old or even if they already got their blessings draw! Usually if you never get your birth blessings you can't draw blessings ever and I think if she draw the birth blessings for you it will start working normally (I couldn't confirm this with her, someone got her attention). She doesn't even need a name, a nickname is enough. The "proper" way to draw blessings is by drawing or etching them into "coins", you make three settings of blessings this way, shuffle them a bit and pick one at random. You can draw blessings to yourself, but the fun way is for each person to draw a blessing for the others in the group.

What a powerful magic. Far better than some, and far different from any in this world. If she will draw blessings for me I want her to.

Er. After you posted the list of blessings on Monday, I wrote each one on an index card, shuffled, and drew for myself three times. For obvious reasons, I never got birth blessings when I was little. Is this bad?

Is this bad? There is no problem with drawing from a incomplete set or drawing for yourself, but if you never got your birth blessings it won't work for you... it is just like drawing random meaningless symbols. The way I understand, if you have at least three sets, the blessings work at maximum power and it is more reliable.

Is drawing blessing (birth or otherwise) predictive or motive? That is, do you get a certain blessing because of something that will happen or that you are, or does the thing happen because you drew the blessing?
