What if you change both equilibrators, e.g. swapping a BLUE BOX with a NEW BOX by rhyme and color, and then swapping them back as BLUE CUBE and NEW CUBE by scrabble and mass? (I'm willing to fund the experiment, if that's a constraint.) Well flip me turnways and swap me with a loon, it works! Have you considered a career in archaeotechnology?

Oooh, science!
I've dabbled with ancient technology before, but I suspect that may not be the same as what you mean. What's archaeotechnology?

That's what we call it when we try to make ancient artifacts into useful machines. The EXCHANGE ENGINE is archaeotechnological. So is the WORDSHARE MAINFRAME that I use to talk with you. Both use modern technology on the outside to get a useful result from a cryptic device on the inside.

Oh, fascinating. I've only ever used ancient artifacts by trying to figure out how to operate their original interfaces. I've heard of people trying to get KI devices to interface with modern computers, but I've never dabbled in that kind of thing myself.

Today I came across a yellow glass comb that turns fibers carded with it to copper, unless the user is singing or humming, when instead it turns the fibers to silver. I don't have use for such a thing. Would any from the forum like to trade for it? I don't know whether I can mint Dyne to pay for the trade itself. If I meet someone in the woods who can use this before a forum-member responds, I will change this message to make it clear that the comb is no longer available.

Silver is useful. Will pay 700 Dyne or 18000 Takkarash for it. We have teleporters who can handle transit. We'll want a demonstration at trade time.
