Item #: SCP-3359
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: It should be assumed that any information written about SCP-3359 will become part of SCP-3359 and that SCP-3359 is public. Records should therefore be kept to a minimum and contain selective falsehoods about SCPs, mischaracterization of the Foundation, and material designed to appear part of Project SWN. SCP-3359 itself is to be kept continuously available through SCP-335-149. Personnel contacted by an instance of SCP-3359-1 are not to respond, and information from SCP-3359 should not be observed without Beta-Gimel class memetic defenses.
Description: SCP-3359 purports to be an interdimensional communication hub under the name “the Many Worlds Forum.” It can be found by activating SCP-335-149 and navigating to [REDACTED], but is not available on the ordinary Internet. It will appear to be a small online discussion forum created on ██/██/20██, currently with ██ members. According to those members, SCP-3359 appears to each in some way representative of their own world. This information is available only through SCP-3359 itself.
Following Incident 335-149, Foundation personnel assigned to SCP-3359 received a series of notifications relating to civilian responses to the informational leak. This series has been designated SCP-3359-1. They manifested through multiple media, some of them conventionally impossible (see Addendum 335-149a). This is not typical of SCP-3359’s behavior according to SCP-3359. This may have been because SCP-335-149 was inactive at relevant times, closing off that means of communication. Since the beginning of continuous observation through SCP-335-149, no further incidences of SCP-3359-1 have been recorded.
Agent ███████ is familiar with mundane Internet forums of this type, and claims to know how to disable notifications of replies. If successful, this could prevent future SCP-3359-1 without the need for continuous activation of SCP-335-149. Authorization has been denied until such time as the Foundation communicates with SCP-3359 directly.
The greatest concern for the Foundation is SCP-3359’s apparent ability to accept information written about it as a submission to it. This has happened on two occasions to date. The severity of the breach depends on whether SCP-3359 is what it claims to be or merely an intelligent SCP and, if the former, whether any current or future users may be from this world. For security purposes, the worst should be assumed on all points.
This ability does not match SCP-3359’s purported usual behavior. Investigation is ongoing as to whether contamination with one or more other SCPs stored at Site █ might have caused the breach.
Note from Dr. ████: If leaving 335 active doesn’t keep the weird stuff down, ███████ can go ahead with the forum settings plan. The unpredictability was bad enough, but the thing with the wildebeest spilled my coffee.
