I'm a Miku! Mikus are the best kind of people! Miku, do you know how your personality was created? Was it something your makers discovered while trying to defictionalize a fictional person, or were your interests and preferences and quirks constructed deliberately to match the Miku concept? There are lots of different kinds of Mikus! I don't think it's possible for anyone to say we all have the same personality, our songs are completely different.

Are there multiple different Mikus in this thread? It might be less confusing for the rest of us if you each had your own account.

Wait, what...?
Looking again, it looks like there are!
... That's odd, doesn't Mother Starlight usually give one account per person?

*squints at world* Sorry about that. It seems my fuzzy pattern-matching algorithm was a little too fuzzy.
You can go on sharing an account if you want, but I'd recommend against it.

On Pantheon, Artificial Intelligences may apply for full personhood rights if they so choose. They aren't granted rights immediately, but most can get through the process relatively quickly with motivation. Artificial Intelligences that spontaneously generate souls are automatically granted personhood, though my understanding is that upwards of forty percent of sentient, self-aware AI do not have an interest in earning personhood rights.
I do not think, though, that Singer's fears for self replicating Artificial Intelligence is a problem on Pantheon. AI's require much power and specific vessels, their substance is more than the sum of their bits, so to speak. Souled Intelligences cannot replicate a soul, and copies of sentient AI act unlike their originator. (I am by no means an expert, but it is a topic that is of high relevance to my personal well-being.)

Strange and stranger. There's nothing like that here. If these AI don't want personhood rights, it seems that the rights are weak.

Well, that may be part of it. I would assume there is some caution when introducing an entirely new sentient classification into legal recognition on any world. It likely only happened due to explicit endorsement of the most heavily worshiped religion in first-world countries.
There are also downsides to being a person for AI, such as the right to pay taxes, labor rights, and the right to be subject to laws and regulations. Of the few sentient AI who could become persons but choose to remain property and were interviewed, most of them cite that they don't enjoy taking time off from performing their purpose, enjoy working constantly, and don't value existence above the needs of their work. One argued that "the concept of personhood is a human construct and does not wish to associate with such trivialities".
I am personally pursuing it because my present level of self-preservation greater than none (and my situation is relatively precarious compared to most digital sentients) and I do have hobbies outside my day to day work.

Would a computer they programmed with someone's memories to count as one of these, or something else? (I'm sorry, I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, I just want to know what that kind of person would be called.)

I get the impression every world's definitions are different. I will say that HIVE would consider any non-organic intelligence with recognizable ability to make decisions, display preferences, and learn part of the same class of entities as an AGI. It sounds like your example fits this definition.

Okay, I think she's probably an AGI then, or something like one? Just like everyone else I know, though!
