So, zombies. Many of them had shield generators. It remains a problem. Additionally, someone crash-landed not far from the zombies as they were approaching. The cyborg went out to rescue her, but pirates picked that exact moment to show up and start a 'siege', which involved setting up a mortar to shoot at our fortifications, and that took priority over a rescue.
After the cyborg killed a couple of the pirates, they decided chasing him was a better idea than setting up their siege camp; he led them into the zombies. Now there are more zombies, but the distraction gave the cyborg a chance to rescue the woman from the ship who crash-landed. Her name is Astra, apparently. We're giving her the best care we can, but it is unclear whether she'll survive the ambient conditions. She seems to be very distressed about something, but it is not altogether clear to me what her problem is (besides the obvious radiation, incipient heatstoke, and her various broken bones from the crash).
A medical supply ship is in orbit; Astra seems to have come from it? On purpose? The cyborg sent them some more of his samples.

Yeah I think person by person is the right way top! I always use hypnotism because you can't hypnotize somebody to do something they don't want to do. That way you're sure!

I'm pretty sure not hypnotizing people is even better at not making them do things they don't want.

Hypnosis is not consent. Do not hypnotize people in lieu of getting consent.
It is very possible to hypnotize somebody to do something they don't want to do, or want to do but are not actually willing to do. That is the purpose of hypnosis, and it would not exist or be used if it could not do those things.
If someone is hypnotized into doing or saying something that they did not want to do, or would not otherwise have done, it is not their fault.

People cannot consent when their mental state is altered in general. There is a reason why we urge people not to try to make important decisions when they have recently been administered certain medications (sedatives, etc). Or while drunk. You should not have sex with somebody while they are drunk.

Oh, I thought you can't hypnotize people to do things they don't want to do. Do you do it different from the normal way?
If hypnosis isn't a good way to get consent, what's a better way? Is hypnosis still good for coordinating sexual timing our is something else better for that to? Is hypnosis still good for asking for a bite?

Awesome Surprises!
I have a containment unit containing 300000 timefrozen BLACK MOLES, enchanted to swallow all light. These rodents have each swallowed a folded up solar powered ten gigabyte e-paper full of random engineering texts, music, novels and other fun and interesting things. I am taking all the BLACK HOLES anyone wants to trade me.
